My
Perspective

The influences in my life, which shapes my worldviews, and what I create with it.

  • I am (shockingly) religious; I was raised Buddhist and still practice as a devout cultivator. With that, I am a firm believer of the mind, body, and heart interconnection. Catch me dabbling in astrology, oracle cards, the mystical, and metaphysical realms. There is no doubt an affinity with ancient rituals.

My spirit is balanced through a natural sense of organization and logic. I am educated and trained in the basics of business, education, organization, and leadership. Philosophy is not a substitute for learning and my own experience.

  • What a magical world that surrounds us. I find myself in profound peace being in nature, and I think nature is one of the most beautiful reflections of who we really are inside. I am drawn to bodies of water like the ocean and alpine lakes. Mountains and forests are grounding forces for me.

Traveling and exploring local and faraway places has given me a wider outlook. I am both very much a local townie and globe-trotter. My commitment to the local community is evident through my professional, appointed, and volunteer activities. Yet, I like getting away every now and then. California is a rich realm of its own, and the world has many unique treasures to offer.

So far, my travels include: seventeen states, Canada, Mexico, United Kingdom, Netherlands, Belgium, France, Italy, Germany, Austria, Hungary, St. Martin, India, Thailand, and Vietnam. More to come!

  • My heart guides my love for life and the things in life. Music and writing have been primal forces in facilitating my creativity. I grew up playing many instruments, with the piano being my favorite. As a 90s baby, I like to think mid-90s - early 00s had the best music. Raised on hip-hop, r&b, slow jams, and pop. Acquired taste of alternative, indie, and dream-pop. In my younger years, I did a lot of concert hopping and have been to over fifty.

Writing is one of my best means of communication to others and myself. I am an avid journaler (50+ and counting) and enjoy writing poetry. When time allows, I like to sketch and want to dive more into needle felting.

I have a natural knack for connecting with people through conversations and cooking for them. Cooking is a special way of drawing out my creativity. My specialties are Vietnamese soups - I can make you a mean tô xe lửa of vegetarian phở.

Aesthetic is unique to each, and my tint on life is down-to-earth yet whimsical and spiritual. My vibe embodies an old soul with a young heart with a verve for life. Laughter and silliness are vital for my heart.
